As I have mentioned I discontinue my Windows projects, so as this one. You can download the sources and binaries of the last version of FireWire driver from here.

The current version supports Windows 98/2000
The driver doesn't support Windows XP. According to MS documentation "Windows XP and later operating systems the 1394 bus driver checks the RequestorMode member of every IRP it receives and disallows IRPs generated in user mode"
